I just came back home from AFO and it was, as up there mentioned… time very well spent. First of all, the competition went spectacularly! All the guys on the podium killed it. 1. Nick Goepper 2. James Woods and 3. McRae Williams, all skied so well! Respect.
2. Woodsy 1. Nick! I was fool not to take a picture of McRae on Saturday-night wearing a FightBack beanie… Or maybe it was just wise, for everyone’s mental wellbeing.
The best hotel I’ve ever set my foot into, the Active by Leitners, was overly booked. So I had to deal with my lodging really close there. It was a good lodging too, not as good, but hey, nothing is… And I got to eat two spectacular meals at their restaurant and I got to chill out with my boys a lot!
The actual VALUE of this trip, is something I can’t really talk about… That is mainly because, the berries are not mature enough, yet. A small, but so huge part of the trips value was getting the FightBack beanies out there! To the heads of the best skiers! They showed their support for the cause and I believe that, the public might start to think a little of it, too… We’d need to get the Headgear spread internationally too! Now I’m gonna just settle back to my normal life at home. And just by the way, I got an email from a dude named Jon Olsson today… The email was about judging, but that might be a topic of whole another post. I’m not planning to write any novel here. I’m planning to go to gym, and later to Åre…
